GABRIEL VÁZQUEZ SALDAÑA

FOUNDER AND OWNER

Busiest man here in Carey. He was born in Mexico City in 1971 and moved to La Paz with his family in 1977. He has been diving since 1987, becoming a Diving Instructor in 1992. He is currently a SNSI Instructor Evaluator with the highest level in the recreational diving industry. He with hundreds of Certified instructors under his training. In addition to diving, Gabriel is a “First Aid Instructor” Instructor and Business Consultant.

He graduated from University of Occidente in Los Mochis, Sinaloa with a Degree in Industrial Psychology. Gabriel has participated in international underwater film productions including the Yucatan Mysteries, together with Discovery Channel where we won recognition at the 2002 Crystal Screen Festival as Best Photography.

Gabriel has put all his work and experience to create a company that provides its guests with a safe and impeccable service, always respecting the natural environment. As a curious fact, at the age of 11 he welcomed Queen Elizabeth II on her only visit to Baja California Sur. Which perhaps marked him on his host personality.

Gabriel, has made an effort to maintain a family-operated company, capable of controlling the quality and warmth of all our guests.

YOHANA JUNCO

Sales and Public Relations Manager

Originally from Havana, Cuba. She studied Economics and Psychology. She resides in Mexico since 2009 and has extensive experience in Customer Service, Business Administration and is a Dive Master.

She is responsible for supervising the quality and warmth of our services through our rigorous monitoring system and she represents us together with Gabriel Vázquez worldwide in the different Diving fairs and exhibitions in Baja California.

Born in Guanajuato, with a Degree in Psychology graduated from UG, resident in La Paz since 2007.

With more than 20 years of experience in administrative and service areas.

She is responsible for the logistical organization to receive all clients, ensuring that service and attention are one more ingredient to enjoy your stay in CAREY.

SHINICHIRO HIROHATA

DIVE MASTER

He has lived in La Paz since 2005 and has over 30 years of experience in Professional Diving, Dive Masters and is one of the best members of our Staff. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Japanese. He loves to play with sea lions and will teach you how to enjoy them.

EDUARDO VÁZQUEZ ROMERO

SNSI INSTRUCTOR, DIVE MASTER

Born in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, México. He graduated from the Technological Institute of Sonora, with a Degree in Engineering in Mechatronics.

He has been in the diving industry since 2012. His organizational skills and his focus on customer satisfaction will make each of our visitors live an unforgettable experience.

Diving since 2012. Lover of marine fauna and everything that lives in the water. Perfect combination of youth and experience.

BOAT CAPTAIN

With extensive experience as a Captain since 2006.

Born in Puerto San Carlos BCS, from a family of fishermen and passionate about anything ocean related. Respectful of the flora and fauna of the natural areas.

He is distinguished by his always kind disposition to help others.

JAIME ACOSTA

BOAT CAPTAIN AND DIVING EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Originally from Los Mochis, Sinaloa and diving since he was 25 years old. He was one of the first Dive Masters of Buceo Carey.

With more than 15 years of experience as a Captain and extensive knowledge of the marine world.

He’s one of our certified technicians to ensure the correct operation and maintenance of our SCUBA equipment.

Originally from La Paz BCS, passionate about customer service and conqueror of demanding tastes.

She is responsible for customer service at VILLA CAREY, making sure to keep the rooms and common spaces clean, tidy and in good condition so that guests enjoy their stay as if they were at home.

Born in Guerrero Negro, B.C.S., she has a degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Resources

She is the right person to welcome and help with the operational needs of VILLA CAREY. Her serenity and service attitude are some of her greatest qualities.

She does everything possible to ensure that guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.
